I am a consultant gynaecologist at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital having been appointed in April 2014. I have broad experience in general gynaecology with special interests in treating menstrual disorders and prolapse. I had my basic and postgraduate training in India and further specialist training in the East of England deanery with advanced training skills in benign laparoscopic surgery, vaginal surgery and urogynaecology.
I specialise in outpatient hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and urogynaecology. I am in favour of minimal access surgery with early return to routine activities. I have expertise in treating menstrual disorders, prolapse, and pelvic pain. My special interests are ambulatory gynaecology and day case surgeries with early return to work.
In addition to my clinical work I am an honorary senior lecturer and module lead at the University of East Anglia Medical School. I enjoy teaching and training young doctors.
I am active in promoting best practice in gynaecology and I have been in the committee developing clinical guidelines for the Royal College of Gynaecology.
I have presented at International conferences and published articles in peer reviewed journals.
Outside work I love dancing and enjoy cooking.
